Key obligations include fostering a positive, fun environment, respecting officials and coaches, and focusing on player development.
Core Parent Rules & Expectations:
- Zero Tolerance: No, shouting, profane language, or obscene gestures directed at officials, coaches, or players. Violations can lead to removal from the rink.
- 24-Hour Rule: Parents must wait at least 24 hours after a game or practice to discuss a complaint with coaches or managers.
- No Coaching: Parents are prohibited from coaching their child or yelling instructions during games or practices.
- Safe Sport Compliance: Parents must respect locker room privacy policies and adhere to the USA Hockey Safe Sport Program guidelines to prevent abuse.
- Behavioral Conduct: Parents are expected to be positive role models, avoid taunting or heckling, and promote sportsmanship.
- Substance Policy: Use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs is prohibited in the presence of players at, or on the way to, rink facilities.
Violations of the Parent Code of Conduct can result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion the club.
